What LabBee is

LabBee is a free iOS application providing timers, calculators and counting tools for laboratory work. It is supplied at no cost, with no subscription and no in-app purchases.

Research and education only

LabBee is intended for research and educational use. It is not a validated instrument, not certified for GLP, GxP or any other regulated workflow, and not a medical device. Nothing it produces should be used to diagnose, treat or make clinical decisions.

Treat every result the way you would treat any bench calculation: check it. You remain responsible for the experiments you run and the numbers you rely on.

No warranty

LabBee is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the app, including lost experiments, lost samples, lost time or lost data.

This does not affect statutory rights you may have under the consumer law of your country, which cannot be excluded.

Timers and alarms

LabBee schedules alarms through iOS and shows a clear warning when the system is not holding an alarm for a running timer. Even so, notification delivery is controlled by iOS and can be affected by permissions, silent mode, Focus modes, Low Power Mode or the operating system itself. For a step where a missed alarm would be unrecoverable, use a second independent alarm.

Your data

Your content stays on your device. Handling is described in the privacy policy. Because there is no server-side copy, keeping backups and exporting anything you need to retain is your responsibility.

Intellectual property

The LabBee name, icon, design and application code belong to the developer. The bundled typefaces are IBM Plex, used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Changes

These terms may change as the app develops. The date at the top of the page changes with them. Continuing to use LabBee after a change means accepting the revised terms.
